Hello once again, troops!
Someone recommended a visit to Lakes Bushland Caravan Park, Nicholson, apparently close to the Nicholson and
Tambo rivers. Supposed to be great area. Stated good area for photography/fishing etc (and pet friendly!) Does anyone know of this place? Am looking to get away for a few days R&R, asnd it sounded like a nice place to visit, and not too far from
Melbourne. Appreciate any comments

I haven't stayed at that particular park, or Nicholson, but have driven through more times than I care to remember. Make sure the park you are considering is the one next to the river, it is in a great spot.
The whole area is just wonderful. Paynesville, Metung, Raymond Island,
Lakes Entrance, Swan Reach, etc.

have stayed at that park lots of times with previos owners and a couple of times after they sold used to be able to have open fires they would provide wood and containers to burn in havent been for a while but ithink they had a bit of a golf cours ,bush walk etc it was /is a great park

It's just over the
hill from here, about 2kms away. Its off the highway on Stephensons Road about 5ks fro the turnoff. Got a small pitch & putt course. Bushland setting as the name suggests. Lakes about 20 mins, B'dale about 15,
Tambo river about 10 mins, Nicho about 10 mins. Nice spot. Haven't been in the park for about 13 years but go past it most days.
