Sorry about this one lads, but I've looked in the recent Aus 4x4 monthly survey and done a site search to little or no avail - but my local bloke has offered me Wrangler A/T tyres for my 4.5 100 series @ $190. My routine is lots of bitumen, often towing a caaravan, a fair amount of gravel etc and just a bit of off road. Please advise. Any good or should I follow the BFGs, Mickeys, Coopers ATs @ $265+?

duuuh - what a dope. Didn't realise they were Goodyear. So I can now research the night away. Still, any feedback would not be unwelcome. Cheers.

Steve,

Not sure how the AT compound compares to the Wrangler AP's that came standard on the Jackaroo from new, but I only got 40,000K's from my original set.
(I think the AP's were mainly a highway tyre)

Now running Bridgestone Dueler 694's for the past 60,000K's and they have still got some life in them yet. Also handle well, quiet running and a reasonable price. ($218 ea last I checked)

Hi guys , my 98 Jack came with AT's , pretty crappy but lasted for 90,000Ks . Now have Wrangler ATR's so far so good , a lot better than the originals . Bought them at a Kmart special for around $170 from memory. More aggressive tread than the AT's still good on the road.

Rigor, I've had a bit of a long day mate, so it might be me.....but what sort of ATs were the originals

Sandman: funny you should mention the 694s 'cos i'm looking at them at the mo. I've seen people claiming prices of $179 - I've made two local enquiries and come up with $265 both.

Keep looking eh?
