As those of you who've been up here know, Al has a BIG shed, it's a veritible treasure cave of stuff, people have been known to go in and never come out!, tyres from the 20's to the present, steel, motors, guards, steel, wheels, tools, steel, machines...did I mention STEEL ! Well on the weekend a metamorphosis occurred. A tyre rack was built and tyres stacked, engines were moved so they're against a wall, and....hand rails and guards were built for the Mezzanine floor so that I can now descend the stairs on my feet and not inch my way down like a crab...a big thanks to Glenn who can now add extra skills to his CV having spent 4 days being Al's T.A, and who looked like he'd been working in a mine on Monday night from the grinding dust, also Diamond Jim and Crazie who also put some time in over the weekend, thanks fellas, it's been a long time coming but now we can see concrete floor in places where before had been STEEL !

It's great to have formed such good friendships as a result of this site.

Cheers
Lyn

Hi Lyn,

I thought you found out about our "Spare Room" at Home, when you were giving your description. Not much in the way of steel of course, but EVERYTHING else ends up in there and generally becomes "lost".

I have a nervous breakdown every time I can't find something and Bev says she has put it in the Spare Room.

There is even a standing joke amongst our relatives. One nephew came to our place for a sleepover once and has since bragged about "sleeping in the Spare Room".

Didn't lose him though; his snoring enabled us to track him down.

We have a room in our house that I still haven't managed to find, it's where all the "I put it somewhere safe!" stuff is, but I would imagine it would look something Al's big shed.

Did you come across things you'd forgotten about, that can always be a fun part of cleaning something out!!!!
