Roads from Windorah-Diamantina Lakes to Middleton Hotel

Has any one traveled the roads from
Windorah to the
Diamantina Lakes and continued to join the
Boulia Winton road at Cawpore
Lookout. If so what is the road like and can it be done and how long does it take.

I've been as far as
Diamantina Lakes but could not cross the Diamantina (2004) as it was in flood.
The roads are generally in good condition, and a late morning start will have you at
Diamantina Lakes in time to set up
camp.
Be sure you can get across the Diamantina first though, because the combined trip is a big one if you can't cross, and there is no fuel available between
Windorah and DL.
