Hello all....Now I know there is plenty of link on this subject. But I need lastest info if possible thanks. I just been informed we are taking a trip down to
Wentworth in a weeks time. I need one of these things to occupy the chillblains (the little darlings). We have never done more that 4 hrs in the car before and they hated that. Any advise on where to get a deal or a brand that you can recommend would be most helpfull thanks.
Cheers HLC

We have a TEAC twin screen unit. It has a game controller which can be used while the other is watching a dvd. It has played more dvd's than our
home player and has been no trouble. Our youngest son does suffer from car sickness but has not done so while watching a dvd in the car. It definetly keeps them quiet and some times you don't even know they are in the car. I have never used it on dirt roads, only when we are on the bitumen.

Dick Smith Electronics sells a couple of dual screen units as
well. We have the 2 x 8" with dual DVD players so the kids can each watch their own movie - recommended.

We got ours from our local RetraVision store about 12 months ago. They are probably available from most electrical / electronics shops now.
I don't think there would be much difference in the brands of them, probably only the price.

If you want one to try without spending heaps, I have a Digitrex 7" wide screen, with head rest mounting carry bag, & all the cables, manual etc that you can have for $80.00.
I bought it, seemed like a good idea at the tiime & but really never use it.

Got
mine from Strathfield. $349. Sounds very much like the Aldi one but I haven't seen one of theirs.
The screen is in the
pic in the post on $16 headrest mounts I made recently.

I have a Shinco 5 inch from Strathfield for $89, had one for 2 years without a problem until one of the kids broke it. I have bought another one which I have had for about 12 months without a problem. You can plug it into a tv inside and then use it in the car
mine has done heaps of work. The best thing I bought for the car.
