Any one have experience with a roof top tent?
How does an Aussie Traveler compare to the Shippshape?
I'm a bit worried the Aussie Traveler will be too wide and heavy for the GU Patrol.
I'm really only interested in the basic set up - only two traveling.
Second hand would be good
Anyone?

rors, you'll probably get answers similar to the cruiser / patrol debate but we travell with a Shippshape and think it's great. I haven't seen an Aussie traveller so I can't compare. The Shippshape is
well made, very easy to erect or pack away and is fairly lightweight. I bought
mine second hand from Shippshape and I found them extremely helpfull and great service. They are based in
Sydney and you'll find them on the net.
If you need more contact details get back to me and I'll get back to you
later. We are based in S.A. and they organised freight and packaging.

I have an Aussie... I reckon its better than the others -by far !! They are in
Brisbane 3868-3868 (07?) The Shipp Shape stopped making a few years ago and since then/ now have come back again....better quality IMHO..
check out previous threads on this sit... in archives ?? Prices were almost teh same but the Aussie better value,, good stuff in them...suggest you get a better than standard mattress for long trips, and air it
well in cold weather to stop damp build up..
