Just wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere in Perth to look at/buy GPS. I would like to be able to go and look at several models and talk to someone who knows what they are talking about. Thanks

Prestige Communications is the place. I ordered mine online and it was delivered to Adelaide in three days.

Also can recommend GPSOZ even though they are not in WA. Noticed an excellent deal on Magellan Meridian GPS for under $600. I paid close to $1000 (from Prestige) a couple of years ago for the same unit which has now been superceded but is still an excellent GPS.

Terlin Outbacker Antenna & Communications appears to sell both Garmins and Magellans so you may be able to compare models side by side (11 McElligott Court

I was in Perth the other day looking for gps units. I gave it away as a bad joke. The one I am after is Garmin Nuvi 310. The cheapest I have found is at Johnny Appleseed. www.ja-gps.com.au/

Hand helds are also available in Camping and Fishing stores. I purchased by Garmin Etrex in Balcatta and thought the price reasonably good ($215)
