Just had a call from members RaynJen who arrived in
Halls Creek a couple of days ago. The road is generally in good condition although it deteriates a bit once you cross the WA border. Road crews are working on sections to improve it.
Don't tell anyone but they were stuck in a
creek near
Halls Creek and fortunately another member (Kunnanurra Nick) come along and towed them out. I believe he was co-erced into keeping quiet about it..
Perhaps Nick you can provide full enlightenment now that the beans have been spilt.

We have just arrived back from doing the Duncan Rd(great drive) but I carnt devulge to much info on the
creek. We camped there but unfortanetly the Pajero made hard work of the
sandy creek bed and eventually they got out and moved on to another spot with there EO's travelling companions(sorry name escapes me).
O.K what really happened was that I stood around talking while the Pajero tried to dig its way to China, then it cornered them between a tree and a rock, eventually it was tamed and reversed out and finally driven out of the
creek bed(me still chatting).Shame about that,we could have enjoyed a nice evening(Carolines Pool).

G'day Nick. I'm surprised they didn't get into trouble before hand. They are newbies to 4WDing and come from
Sydney so I didn't expect it to be too long before thet got into trouble. (Boy am I going to be in trouble from my big sister when she reads this.) Sure is nice up that way. Can't wait to get back there.
Thanks for helping them out.
Cheers
Des
