Hello,

I have a Patrol GU 2004

While driving in the rain in Sydney for the last few weeks, my front right window wipers are making a clunking sound, it sounds like there is a loose bolt or something in behind the wiper.

How hard is it to access the area behind where the wider connections will be so i can have a look and tighten up the bolts

Cheers

Brent

It'd still be under warranty wouldn't it?

Anyhow there is a little cover plate in the plenum chamber that is lifted out that exposes all the linkages etc.

The other thing the wiper arm itself could be loose.

My warranty finished at the begining of the year.

I had a look and could not find the plate.

is this the plate that runs under the front window? if i just remove the 7 small screw clips will it just come off.

Cheers

Yes, well it is on the previous model. Under that plate there should be an access plate to where the levers etc are.

Some people travel more than 30K/year. My warranty was out in 18 months.
