This is in no way connected to the spelling issue from a little while ago.
I think that debate was
well and truly had!!!
Rather it's about putting in a space after paragraphs and after some sentences.
What this does is to improve dramatically the ease of reading.
This is especially the case when reading on a screen rather than a hardcopy. It allows the reader to pause where there would be a pause in speech. As one who spends all day in front of a screen at times, I find that my eyes have difficulty following the lines and I skip one every now and again, only to have to go back and pick up some lines back.
Newspapers and magazines recognised this some considerable time ago, some take it too far by putting in a space (new line) after every sentence.
This is not intended as a critisism but rather a constructive suggestion that may make someone's contribution more readable.
Finally to demonstrate my point, below is the same post without spaces.
Which is easier to read? What do you all think?

Actually it works like a printer - the darker the character the more ink you use - the darker the character, the longer it takes to download.

Yeah I reckon it is a
sign of the degradation of the language, we should go back to correct English and make all those
young people stop chopping up the language.
Start using good old Australian Colloquialisms too like Cripes, and Stone The Crows.
Of course, those of us who are perfect feel it is our duty to fix it all up too.

You have raised a good point.
I for one would find it much easer to read the posts if we could all use a space every now and then.
To read the post that don't have spaces I have cut a ruler to the size of the screen and read line by line.
If you have a look at all my post they are all written with a space straight after a full stop and it does make it easer to read.
Thanks for raising this as hopefully some people may consider changing the way they post there info and if the don't I still have my ruler.
Well Done

Yep Troppo, mate, could not agree more. As is the case for capitalising first letters, and proper nouns too. Some seem not to be able to do that though. LOL
It is a lot better with the paragraphs as you have said to keep particular lines of the thought together in each paragraph. Looks better than having a lot of single sentence paragraphs too. I know some journos can't manage better but gets more information across and the logical thoughts together.

I have to agree Troppo.
It's all part of learning the English language, be it spelling, punctuation, or even using the same word too often. (Thesaurus)
Bit hard to blame the younger generation though. Their teachers didn't/don't know any different, or were not held accountable for simple errors.
I think it is a degradation (big word?) of the standards in teaching English in Schools nowadays. The influence is on putting the word down as it sounds to the author rather than how that word was derived. (out of multiple languages, English, Latin, etc.)
