Nothing to do this time about 4wd's but in regards to drink driving, and as much as I hate to say this, this time I did agree with him in regards to a woman who has lost her license for DUI for two years and continues to drive after having 10 standard drinks and picks her kids up from school all cought on video. Was on channel nine current affairs. Her ex husband said she does it all the time. She didnt give a rats arse that she was putting every body at risk and continues to drive. He said she needs to have her car confiscated and impounded and she needs to go to jail. No sympathy here from me for drink drivers getting cought. Regards Steve M

Hi Steve.

Its a shame when alcohol takes over some ones life and kids are put at risk once again, or the general public as far as that goes.

Sometimes people find it hard to admit to a problem until something distressing happens

Hi there Axle, yes its definaely an addiction like smoking/gambling, she obviously has an alcohol problem which is no doubt a terrible thing to have and I feel sorry for any boby with an addiction, but after watching this woman you felt like ripping her through the TV and shakng ths shi@ter out of her, she just did not give a bleep about any body but herself which i suppose is part of the addiction but that is easy to say untill she kills some one or her kids or maybe some one from one of our familys then we will want to hang her up, but as you said "Sometimes people find it hard to admit to a problem until something distressing happens". We can only hope it doesnt end up that way. Regards Steve M

When people abuse the system like this, there is only one thing the authorities can do. Impound her vehicle....No ifs, No buts.

If she is stupid enough to buy or obtain another vehicle, the next step is to lock her up for the duration of her original penalty. The kids would need to be put in foster care, where they certainly wouldn't be any worse off.

Maybe by the time she came out, her drinking habits would be more subdued.

As a taxpayer and citizen I'm sick of the lenient approach given to these miserable cretins by society's "do-gooders" and a weak legal system.

Gee I feel better now.
