I have just bought a 100 series GXL Turbo Diesel wagon and decided to add a few extras on it. I bought a bonnet protector [toyota part ] and after putting it on I noticed that the word LANDCRUISER was off centre. I went back to my dealer and told them about this and I was offered another one, however that one was also off centre. The dealer rang other Toyota dealers in
Adelaide and found the same thing with their bonnet protectors. My dealer rang Toyota Products and they said there had been no conplaints about this. Photos were taken and sent to Toyota and a Product Report has been submitted. I wonder how many others out there are wrong and did SA get a bad batch. I was told the Protectors are made in Aust

Geoff,
Just had a look at
mine fitted about 4 weeks ago. Thanks for ruining my friday.
Mine is also off centre but i hadn't noticed it until your post. Not going to worry too much about it as I can't see it from the drivers
seat. Just kidding about ruining my friday.
P.S. I'm in Qld.

Thanks for the reply. Since posting the info on the Bonnet Protector I have found out from dealers in
Brisbane and
Sydney that they also have the same shonky protector in their stock. Someone stuffed up but no one will own up yet. I will follow it up from the complaint made by my dealer.

We had a manual 80 series 1990 from new. Wanted to get a 100 series TD manual but was hard to get at the time. Plenty of V8's around at about $58.000. Settled on a auto for about $10.000 more. Bit reluctant at first on auto but found out to be a good choice as now love it. Vehicle was bought in May 06
