A more suitable name would be Midge Camp
or
Mozzie Village.

otherwise OK and usually good fishing and crabbing.

Maroni ,

I stayed camped there for 4 nights last year . Nice toilet showers and a bar and reasonably priced restaurant right on the beach .

We had a boat and found the fishing in the estuary to be pretty crappy - much better in Darwin Harbour . There was a reef / sunken object just off the resort which apparently is good for jewies , but we like tossing lures so never tried it .

They have a good launching ramp there and some great accomodation looking out over the water and right on the beach . You have to make sure you ask for them though as they also have some with no view .

However , with a big boat it is possible to get down to the open sea where there is good light sportfishing and a few good creeks and flats for barra . There is a guide who works out of Crab Claw with a big fast boat to get to the ocean and back in a day .

Willie .

Hi, we stayed there late 2004, and had a great time. We stayed in a cabin on the beach, which is basic, but has everything you'll need. We also hired a small tinny, and spent the day out on the harbour. I am by no means a great fisherman, but we managed to catch a heap of good sized fish, including a small shark!!

Cheers,

Greg
