Has anyone put a V8 in an NG Pajero? (Gen 1). If so, can you please provide details of what you have done? Both in terms of parts needed and the process you went through.
Second, have you also done a dual battery setup in one? Can you provide details of where you put the second battery?
Thanks

A friend a while back put a mildly worked 253 in a SWB Pajero. An amazing car, but very expensive. I think the Diffs survived but everything else was trashed. From memory, toyota gearbox and transfer, and custom tailshafts etc. Cost him a small fortune, got very little in resale, and had a lot of fun. There was an auto parts
shop and cylinder head place in Pambula, Southern NSW owned by Mick and Kezzie Nolan who did most of the work on the truck. They may be worth a call (I haven't been there for 7 years so they may not still be there), they should talk you out of it, but will most probably talk you into a bigger engine. In their spare time they got into doing tractor pulls, making all of there own gear. They had one with 2 350 chev's, and even had a 350 chev in the fergie tractor for slashing their block.
Cheers Andrew

If you just want horse power, why not supercharge or turbo a 3.5l V6?
One running around SE Qld with at least 200 kw, and at a guess more like 250kw.
I think they rolled it last year on a bitumen rally :-(.
If you want low down torque, why not drop in a 3.2DiD diesel, suitably modded?Friend does rechipping and massive torque is possible from this engine.
170/180kw is available from a 3.5l V6 with only a rechip and a new exhaust.
Only suggestions, seen so many different conversions in different vehicles, the detail always catches you out with something very different.
