It seems to be up and down depending on the strip of film used or whatever way they process it. My area was so poor I couldn't see the roof of the house and now it looks good for the house but the western part of the farm is shocking. The dairy is clear too and you can see how much
water is in the dams.

I can see the smallish rose bush in the middle of my lawn. I kid you not!
If data at this resolution is publicly available I dread to think what the military sats can see these days?

Geez Mike, be fantastic to see that resolution as I could then see so much. Can time things a bit on the picture. Time of day from the shadows, glare off the roof on the Northern side. Cows in a particular paddock, right beside where the resolution falls right off so we can't count them all.
Nudie, only eels in the dame mate. Not in the pondage though.

Take a look at my comments on post ID 36645 - the resolution changes as different satellite data is brought onto Google Earth.
Different satellites covering different areas provide different resolutions - some quite poor - some really excellent.
Ciao for now
Andrew.

The NSW Govt makes its aerial photography available for free viewing.

I can see the 5cm diameter vent pipe on the roof.

Willie
In the "Take me to a "(top right) click on ADDRESS
In "display images" (bottom right) make sure only
Sydney aerial Photos is ticked
You have to wait a long time for any change sto take effect - even on Broadband
If in "Show Themes" only Local Government is ticked, it will overlay the
boundary of your land on the photo.
