Over the last 4 weeks I have tried to look at my house in Hoppers Crossing in VIctoria using Google Earth plus and every time the house is covered by the same
small cloud cover.Does Google Earth Plus ever change the view or am I stuck for ever with the small cloud????

I don't suppose you've noticed that it's always day time at your house?

Jaksun,

Its not real time mate.

The satellite photos could have been taken one or two years ago and your section with the cloud overhead is what you are stuck with until that section is updated with a new photograph however long that may be.

Your house may have a TOP SECRET/military Classification, like Williamtown NSW. Just type Williamtown NSW into Google Earth and you will see what I mean, very strange cloud cover.

Actually, I think the weird cloud over Williamtown is just the edge of a satelite picture.

If you type in Amberley - you can see the entire base, including planes parked on the ramp and what looks like an old F111 that has been parked.

If the ragheads are looking for a target they need to try 47 33 08 n 122 39 16 w, by the way they could very easily target my caravan, but then my wife would get upset and that would create Total Warfare not just WW3.

Just a small correction, towels are not used, the correct wrap is a sheet, or sheet head.

angler,

But when the sheet has been used, it becomes a rag.

If any of you are aircraft buffs you get a good view at various bases around australia with the photos currently showing on google.

Amberley, QLD - 4 x Caribou, 1 x P3 Orion, 3 x Business jets and 1 old Canberra bomber being restored + the F111 previously mentioned.

Richmond, NSW - 1 x civilian airliner, probably the Prime Minister's 737, approximately 16 x C130 Hercules ( including the new J Models) and about 2/3 down the western end of the runway is an unusual sight... a C130J just getting airborne + various light aircraft.

Pearce, WA - 1 x C130 near the southern end of the runway, 2 x USAF C141 Starlifters further north and at the far northwest corner is the old Emu Airlines 747 mockup used for various training purposes.

Katherine, NT (look east of the town for Tindal Airbase, Australia's major fighter base) - 1 x C130 that has just landed and turned onto the taxiway, 2 x F18 Hornets heading north on the eastern taxiway leading to the 2 circular plane parks with aircraft shelters, 1 x unidentified small jet probably one of the new Hawk trainers south of the F-18's and heading west toward the runway and various light aircraft on the northwestern apron.

In regards to the previous post about williamtown.....If you type in Williamtown you will see an airbase covered by a perfectly natural cloud. If you type in WilliamStown you will find a small town in South Australia that is at the edge of a satellite photo.....One small typo can send you 1/3 of the way across the country on a wild goose chase.

Happy trainspotting !

Cheers....Taz
