Hi fellow-trekkers!
Well, after diliberating for far too long, have finally up-graded the caravan and packed the art gear ready to explore the northern climes.
I have had a ball painting the Victorian High Country, and now it's time to attempt to capture the northern coastline on canvas!
My plan is to see if I can support myself with my art whilst on the road..ha!..probably be just another starving artist, but at least I will have a million dollar view each day. I plan to continue my writing as well ( still got a book to finish!), and maybe catch the odd fish or two along the way.
So if you see a bearded fellow sitting under a tree somewhere in front of an easel, or at the back of some outback pub sketching the locals....come over and say hello!
My youngest daughter is about to present me with a new grandchild soon, so I will probably stay reasonably close to home until then, but after that..who knows!
I will, of course, keep in touch via my lappy, and intend to keep a travelling journal.
So, as a self-funded retiree with big plans..here I go!
I have a list of galleries along the way, and will attempt to get on thier books, as it were, with the hope they will accept and display my works from time to time.
Also keep supplying cartoons to the Australian cartoonist Association ( figured cartoons about the grey Nomads would be interesting!)..anyway, just thought I'd keep you all posted!
Safe travelling!
Bronco

G'day mate
Well, I have no definite plans as yet, but eventually will 'do it all ', with a bit of luck!
I intend to take my time, camping at various spots along the east coast first, painting seascapes and harbour scenes etc.
Then eventually into FNQ.
Lots of places i want to go..but not in a hurry to get there!
By the way, if you want to take a peek at my artwork, there are a few pics on my profile...thanks for the reply, and yes, we may well meet up!
Regards

Onya Bronco,
And all the best on the arrival of your 'new' grannie!
Best of Luck with your paintings & cartooning too...

Just a thought:
Pull in to any campsite; sit back and absorb the antics of setting-up/moving on of campers! You will fill a book of cartoons in no time flat!
Never know, it could be a winner!
Maybe you could ask fellow forumites to pass on any suitable (experienced) data as well.

Cheers & Happy Travelling!
