Hi everyone,
Need some advice. My speedo sensor has gone in my series 80 and new one is $475 at the Toyota Dealers. Have made some enquiries and can buy an inline after market one for $145.
Will the inline one fit. I have been assured by the vendor that it will but the market one has a couple of bends in it. Just wonder if I have wasted my money. Dont know what brand it is but will pick it up tomorrow.
Thanks
Howard.

The bloody thing goes from 40K to 160k regardless of what speed (which I dont know) I am doing. I get a bit toey when I see little white car with the stripes and thos funny coloured lights on to either in front or behind me. So far the lights havent been flashing but there is a good line up of cars behind me. Be great to get it fixed.
Cheers
Howard.

Think yourself lucky Howard. I've had to replace
mine TWICE.
Apart from the speedo not working, it must have some input into the engine management system. When I came to a stop, the engine would run really rough and sometimes stall.

Howie,
Give Dozer a call as above, or try:
Hall 4x4 Salvage
Toyota Landcruiser, Hilux, Nissan Patrols, New & Used Reco Parts
27- 29 Malvern St
Bayswater
VIC, 3153
Australia
Ph: (03) 9729 7566
Fax: (03) 9738 1392
They charged me $35 for
mine. Had a different model number on it to
mine as
well, but works no worries. They had a box of them, not sure if they would post to you - most likely they would.
