Hi

Had a great weekend at eastern creek Sydney , the old touring cars where struting their stuff , and how good were they!, Can't help thinking if all the old 4bys engaged in a similiar event, it would be great!!. Or! would nissan & toyo & landy owners plus all the rest be to involved in their choice of vechicle to associate in such a combined event??. Not over a two day event did i here one criticism about any make or model, racing and believe me there was a array of breeds out there, So this nissan , Toyo, landrover, rodeo , Mitsi, and WHATEVER thing needs to be looked at in a different light sometimes !

Anyone see my drift?

Cheers Axle.

Lay of the Haffies...... I know people who have these and Pinzgauers as well.
Some of them are a bit odd though.

The people I mean.......not the vehicles.

I know a couple of these in Melbourne. Both restored, one to a very high standard.

Runs 34in Super Swampers and with all diffs locked it is a very seriouosly capable vehicle. They are a bit light on for power 80k on road is about it.

The down side when you have one or even two on a trip with you is that every time you meet another group, the stop becomes a long one while everyone works out what it is and what it does.

Here's a bit of trivia. Haflinger and Pinzgauer are both breeds of goats. When Steyr Puch was looking for names they figured that mountain goats were an apt choice for their veheicles.
