hi all,
I just got home from a weekend of 4 wheel driving,
i smashed my rear right plastic corner bumper on a tree, i am sort of happy i only damaged the bumper and not any pannels
how much does it cost to repair and repaint a rear plastic corner bumber?
is it cheaper to buy a new bumper and just ge it resprayed?
thanks

Hi,
I recently had my GU rear bumper replaced after backing into a car. The panel beater told me at the time that because the GU bumper is not a completely smooth finish if they are patched and repainted the repair job would quite noticeable.
Cheers, Monkey

The right rear corner bumper of my GU has been painted, and yes it is obvious now, but I didn't notice when I bought it.

Myself and a mate are designing some metal replacement ones.
The plastic ones will die everytime... I have 5 old plastic ones here given to me by mates to use as templates and all are stuffed!
Kaymar did a replacement bar end set few yrs back $1500pr (JUST THE ENDS!) if I remember correctly!!
We should be able to come in at 1/2 that if all goes to plan.

I got sick of my rear lights being hit by sticks and popping out when 4wdriving,they are only held in by spring clips.
I got some sheet metal bent to my design and built a complete rear bumper,it looks great and the lights are screwed in with bump guards.
The only way to go!
Regards
