We managed to get three extra days because my daughter came home from overseas a few days later than she'd intended. I didn't have to get back to meet her as soon as I had originally been going to. Been back a week tomorrow and at work since Monday. Ouch!! That hurts! Just the same the pay packet was very welcome yesterday!
You sound like you had a really happy time with no major mishaps. That's good.

Laura,
I won't go into the footy bit!! (Go the Swan's)!!
Mishaps -
well ....a few. A blow out and a puncture, the back catches on the camper snapped and we replaced them. The ropes that tie the camper down weren't strong enough for the constant pulling down and tightening so we replaced them with stronger. The screws that held the kitchen part of the camper came loose and just had to be tightened. The spare tyre holder on the camper trailer cracked the weld and Ray did the two battery welding bit and fixed that. The main thing was a fractured pipe on the air con which luckily happened in the last week. We came home with no air conditioning but as it got colder the further south we went that was ok. Nothing major except the air con..the others just nuisance value really.
Personal mishaps....got overheated walking to a waterfall, got in the cold
water and body temp dropped and almost fainted! Fell flat on my face while walking into
Mitchell Falls and Ray stood on my glasses and snapped the lens. I'm beginning to think I'm a clutz!!
Apart from that it was a walk in the
park!! No really, all those things sound worse than they are. I think we got off really lightly for the roads that we were on.
Glad that you got off lightly!!
Enjoy your footy show.

Hi there L B,
We all thought it was great to se you, especially Charlotte.
September photos a little slow as I broke my camera just after you left, but resolved now. There will be an addition to the web site in the next week with your clan in it.
The great thing about being here is meeting the face behind the EO handle.
Cheers to a good trip but I don't envy the civilisation bit.
Regards
Ian@Mt Dare

Laura B/ Diver,
I have only been back about 10 days and have only just got used to sleeping more than 2" off the ground. The trouble is that I am off again tomorrow for another month. Back to the swag again.
John at the working museum is a bit of a card. Once he gets going nothing is going to stop him.
No doubt you will have stories about
the desert crossing and the challenge of Big Red.
Got to go and repack the Troopie again, the Flinders and the
Simpson Desert are calling again.
