Noticed on the
Gold Coast this mornning that ULP (with voucher) can be had for 99.9c/l which is great. Unfortunately I'm on diesel at about 1.25 per litre, which is not so great.
The prices are going in the right direction though :)
Aaron.

Balance between Queensland and Victoria is the willingness of the state government to utilize taxes elsewhere. Thats not the difference between ULP and diesel though

Townsville
ULP $120.9
Diesel $136.9
Hurray for Australia, the only country in the world where diesel is more expensive than petrol.

Is it?
"But as a result of a slight drop in the price of crude oil they cut their prices last weekend to 97.5p per litre for diesel and 95.5p per litre for unleaded."
thats UK
supermarket discount (nearly $2.50aus!)
"Following yesterday's cuts, unleaded 91-octane was at $1.50.9 a litre and 95-octane at $1.55.9c a litre. Diesel was down 2c a litre to $1.16.9."
thats from NZ, but you have to buy a roadtax sticker for diesel/LPG, costs up to $32.15 per 1000km for a vehicle under 3 tonne. For a car that does 10litre/100km that adds 32 cents a litre.
quite a few european countries have cheaper diesel though it seems?
