Instructions are on a tag in the cover. Easy once you get the hang of it.

Hi Troopyman,

I fold it up upside down...if that makes sense. I turn it on its top then fold in half using the bottom. This does not make sense, but it works. I still cannot fold it up the way you are suppossed to...lol

Cheers

Agree with you Glenn, after I took your advice to do it this way it generally folds away easily.

I have never laughed so much as when my partner tried to refold ours the first time. Even the dog took off as he was yelling and swearing so much she thought she was in trouble. In the end spat the dummy and it have lived on top of the camper bed in the trailer ever since laying out flat.

I have a theory that these beasties were cunningly designed to only ever be a single use piece of equipment.
Unfold it, use it, then throw it out in frustration when it won't collapse back into it's carry case.

One of the camping stores had them for sale at the 4wd show last year, but none were erected. The sales rep said it was too dangerous cos they couldn't get them down again! Bought one anyway and it works fine, but I defy anyone to actually describe the operation in words.

Once you get the hang of it , it is just so easy....I went through the " I cant get it down " phase .....mucked around with it for half an hour one day and then chucked it in the van still up....but now...2 seconds and presto , folded up neatly and in the carry bag....easy

This is absolutely no help to you at all, but!

There used to be downloadable instructions on the Oztrail Website, but it's not there at the current time.

My tent also has a "how to do it" instruction sown onto it, but I don't need to follow it because I am one of those lovable "smart-arzed" characters Lyn has mentioned and have no problem in collapsing it.

Mine sat in the top of the shed still laying flat for a few months cos I couldn't get it flat and round again.
Then my bride came home with a fly screen version; same thing but larger with fly screen walls.
Figured I had to learn then.
Now, although sometimes it takes a couple of goes, and I still walk away to where no-one can see me, they both pack up pretty easy.
Well at least they did when last used in May. Probably forgotten again now.
Cheers

Hi guys,

I think Troopyman's query is the most important post of the year (thus far).

I purchased one of these shower tents not long after they came on the market. Erecting it was a breeze.

However, folding the damn thing up is obviously way beyond my intelligence (this is after two subsequent demonstrations).

My self confidence has diminished, I question the level of my intellect on a daily basis now, esteem has gone on a holiday, I'm drinking more......and, the dog no longer respects me!

I even asked God for advice.

This product was obviously designed by a women.

Regards

Kim

Hehehe
I had one that couldn't be folded for 3 years. Bought another an couldn't fold it either. Took it back to the shop where an "expert" showed me how, and both have been fine since.

Firstly, after you collapse it down, make sure none of the springy wire is twisted - should look even all round.

Then stand on the bottom, pull down the top so the middle bulges awat from you and hold the top to bottom with one hand. If it twists, you'll need to go back to the first step. If it is equal, then twist the bottom part into the middle and see what happens. It should fold in on itself, and its done.

Its bloody hard to describe, but the main problem I had was with the springy wire being twisted, preventing it from folding.

Hey troopyman,
first step take it to a camping store and ask. they will show you.

Now the way i do it, unzip the door, fold in half flat, fold over so there is only one section/side/wall, hold about 1/3 along sides with bottom at knee hight, twist and crossover arms, then fold bottom to top in the one action

HEY PRESTO

it works for me

GOOD LUCK

Have funny story to ours, decided to buy one but couldnt find any at 4wd show except 1 which was up on display, did deal with seller and was told to come back at 4 and we could have it.
Ok so far.
He tried for about 30 min to fold it up and eventually had large crowd around throwing some very funny comments.
In the end he went a got a bloke he knew from opposition seller across the way, and he came and folded it after a while.
All done in 45 minutes, thought we were there for the night hahaha.
Unknown to me at the time, but with all the twisting and trying, they actually stuffed it for us as the steel work is twisted and it is a hard one to fold, but get it most times or it goes on the bed, flat LOL
Also bought a couple from cheap as chips, $25, much lighter construction but ok for shower etc, and are real easy to fold down. Not real good in strong wind though.

Cheers Pesty

Jeez... it really isn't hard people.

Just hold the whole thing with the bottom on the ground. Grab the top and without twisting anything YET, bend it down to meet the bottom. When they have met, twist the top edge 180 degrees and it will just fild up on its own. It has no choice!

Just seen the question. Fold it flat, stand it up and then push down from the top as if you are trying to screw it down into the ground. Always works!!
