Good service needs acknowledgement I think.
Bought a late model TD cruiser a few months back and it had a Piranha Dual Battery system installed already. About a month later I checked the aux battery to find it was dead flat. Hadn't checked it before so I guess it hadn't worked for a long time as the previous owner didn't take it off road.
I rang Piranha to see if it could be looked at, there was no agent near me, and I didn't have a receipt or even the name of the owner or agent who installed it.
Allen (boss?) said straight away, don't worry about it, remove it and send it back, you pay the post here Piranha will pay post back and I'll send a new unit. No questions or quibble.
Sent it 9 days ago WA to Vic, got new one today, complete with fitting kit etc.
I think that is good, and shows confidence in their product.
I have no connection with them, nor have I even had a dual battery system before.
Best thing to come out of Vic since the Eagles nicked the GF on!

That outstanding support fisho.
They didn't even ask you to check for an output voltage?
Think I'll have to ring them and complain about my DB150S. There's actually nothing wrong with it, but I may get a DB180+ as a replacement with a few more bells & whistles:-)))

yes forgot that bit.
Check that there was 13.2 volts plus at the feed wire from the wiper motor and a good earth.
I thought about doing the same, but was happy that it was replaced with no drama.

Yes we have a 150S, which cracked the case, and it was replaced no problems. At that stage is was four years old.
Compared with the crap fight which is still going on with Nissan, over the front rotor problem, I know who will get my support in the future.
Regards
Col

Fisho64,
I agree with you. The service they provide is something other companies should know about. My example is with my Piranha DBE 180s that was glowing
bright orange when the car was turned off. This, according to the manual indicates that it is receiving solar charge, however I have no solar panel connected. I rang them up, brought the car down and within 15 minutes they changed the control unit overwithout even asking for a receipt or anything.
I was most impressed with this kind of service. Most shops out there would get you to leave your car with them in the morning and not look at it for hours inconveniencing the owner and try to weasel out of repairing / replacing the unit.
Good on Piranha............
