We R Dun Workn
While on our last trip, we did a lot of off road
camping, thanks to our discovery of the New Camps 3.
The only problem we had was limited power.
We met a lot of travellers that had
solar power. We were given recommendation of 2 suppliers that were said to be the cheapest in Aust.
One handles seconds in Qld I think they said in
Brisbane somewhere.
The other was a Marine place in Fortitude Valley.
We have no idea of the company's name or contact details
Does anyone know of these supplies????

The only marine place I can think off in the valley is Glascraft Marine.
They have always had good prices for over the 30 years I have dealt with them on and off.
And they have stocked solar panels for quite a few years.

Interesting isn't it, that marine
places seem to give better prices for a lot of gear we use in
camping and 4wding, rather than the specialised 4wd shops?
May be it is turn over.

We R Dun Workn,
buy a quality product for the first and only time, as they will have a 20 or even 25 year warranty simply because they are made using better quality materials and smarter technology.
Hint: check out the thickness of the alluminium frame and the method of attachment at each of the corners, the construction and waterproofing of
the junction box, the reputation of the actual manufacturer and finally the technical output specifications stated for the panel...... :-)
and don't forget to buy a decent solar regulater to save you replacing batteries, ohh, and almost forgot to mention you will need a decent "storage" battery to hold all that power you have collected "free" from the sun.... what sort of battery did you ask ... L0L
Enjoy your travels
