HI Guys,
Thats for all the advice with loading Ozi explorer onto my Navman 570 pin. I have been reading a few other posts and see mention of GPSgate software.
Will that help with being able to run both SmartST and oxi explorer without blocking the GPS signal to one of the programs?
Also can I put the Natmap maps and the Smartst maps on the same SD card and the programs will know how to find them.
Thanks
for you help

Hi blue1,
GPSGate software provides the ability to share a port, or a device connected to it, with multiple applications concurrently, so if that is what you want to do, yes it will work.
The GPS would connect to a comm port, let's call it com2.
What you then do is to define multiple virtual ports (say com6, com7, com8) and then assign each virtual port to each application you with to use the GPS.

I keep my Smartst and Ozi maps separate, there's only 80MB free on the Navman SD card anyway so you'll probably need another SD card for the Natmap maps and I've found no need to be running both programs simultaneously. The processor is fairly slow on the Navman and trying to run both at the same time will probably cause it to crash.
