G'day
My regular mechanic has sold up his business and left. I don't like his replacement because of lack of experience, nothing personal.
I need a good 4B mechanic that understands how to check a car for a remote trip.
Preferred in outer West,
Sydney or Penrith area.
Any thoughts???

G'day OP: it's over on the North side but worth it. Vic Widman recommended Artarmon Automotive to me; I have been there 3 times now, the last b4 our
Kimberley trip last winter. I have seen all makes of 4Bs in his workshop. They are really good and prices reasonable - ask for Eddie (boss) or Chris.
Cheers, Ray

On Patrol,
Lonards Automotive, Peachtree Rd Penrith, 47 32 29 48.
Ask for Scott. He has helped me out a lot. Knows his stuff. Drives a 4WD. He does do trips in the outback, and in his spare time gets onto this
forum.
Eddie at Artarmon Automotive is also very good but a bit far from Penrith.

Mate,
If u get real stuck, in a pinch, please do not hesitate to give me a call. I am a mechanic in a past life trained by the "motor traders association of australia". Still know whats goes on in preventative maintenence as I now have 3 excavators. One has appox 800 000 ks (equivalent car kms) on it and I have not spent a cent on major repairs.

Mr fixit
No, he is in 7 Hills, Graham Lowe autos, I still send my normal vehicles to him under the new owner and are satisfied with them, but I am not confident enough to have him set up the 4B for remote travel.
