I just thought that I'd post to say that I have stopped and remembered all those who have fought for our country and for world freedom.
I hope all have done the same and wish those defence force personnel deployed a safe return.
Cheers Kev

Was in the truck in rather heavy traffic , bit hard to pull over , but had the radio on , on came the last post ,, goose bumps all over ,, then had my own minutes silence ,, sometimes you have to keep rolling ,, just as long as we NEVER FORGET !!
Thanks to all those who lost their lives and the ones who still carry the scares of any wars ..
Neil ..

I also stopped and remembered and gave thanks at 11:00. Not only for those who fought for our country and world freedom, but for my mother.
My mum is special and unique, not only because she is my mother but she was born on 11 November 1918, at 11:00 am., so her parents gave her the middle name of Peace; Eileen Peace.
Yesterday her adoring family helped her celebrate her 88th birthday. She still lives at the family home, on her own. Cooks and cares for herself, does her own shopping and washing. Rides her exercise bike twice a day for 15 minutes. Walks approx. 3kms to the shops once a week and back with her trolley, because the
supermarket stopped doing home deliveries. She loves walking and she and dad never owned a car.
Yesterday she was discussing celebrations for her 90th birthday with me, and it was she who raised the issue!
So on 11/11 at 11:00am every year I not only give thanks for those who fought and died for us, I think of and gives thanks for my mum too.
