Im the very poor but happy owner of a mitsubishi canter deisel(3.9) duelcab 4x4 93 model. On a recent trip from
sydney to
thargomindah (sth w Qld) averaged only 18 lts per 100 kms sitting on 95 kph and 33oo revs and was hopping some one might know a way of staying on 95 but lower revs. Ive looked for a overdrive but told they dont make one. Is changing diff ratio only way and if so any recomended work
shop would be most appreciated thank you tony b

Tony, Try some larger diametre tyres (initially on the rear, don't engage 4wd), maybe one or two sizes up from what you currently have. It may mean that you're changing gears more often but with the size of the donk you have it shouldn't be much of a problem.
