Saw a 'Camper Craft' the other day on the road in front of me.
Looked like a pop-top caravan, but with an outboard motor on the back. Back it down the
boat ramp, slide it off the trailer and it becomes a houseboat.
Seems to me to be a versatile unit.
Anyone have knowledge of the practicalities or otherwise of such an animal?

What a ball tearer! We had a house boat on the Myall Lakes last weekend , but it would have looked pathetic next to this one in your photo . I love the captains
seat .

Uhmmm.. no. The one I saw was just a little bit more sophisticated.
That's a shocker!

I remember seeing these advertised in Trailerboat Fisherman magazine back in the late 80's. Had pretty much everything (cooker/fridge/sinks/berths etc.), plus I think you could put a 70 or 90hp on them which gave a fair amount of get up and go. One of the advertising shots was of someone skiing behind them.
Not sure how many were sold but I certainly haven't seen many around the
Sydney waterways over the years.
Looked like a novel idea to me though.
