Hi all,
I pick up the new off road trailer on Wednesday down in Cootamundra.
My question is do I take 6 by 20L
water jerries with me to place some load on the trailer. It has the capacity to hold 10 jerries. So I though 6 should give it a bit of a load.
It is an 8' x 5' deep sided box trailer, and I don't particularly want it to bounce its way back to
Sydney.
Cheers Kev

I would suggest playing with the tyre pressures may be easier.
Unless you want to test it out on the way back. :o)
Just try 25 to 30 psi in the tyres at a guess.
Do the usual temp check on the tyres after running for 15/30 mins in case they are hot, more air, if cold try a little less, and depending how bouncy it has been. You most probably want to stop after 15/30 mins anyway just for a check on everything anyway.

I agree. Tyre pressure around 25 should suffice. Some weight in it would help too.

Thanks Youngplodder and Willem,
I think I'l still use the jerries and adjust the tyre pressures as mentioned and see how I go.
Cheers Kev

If it bounces around ( even when empty ) it may be sprung a little too hard ?
Has it got shocks ?
I think being a good quality trailer maker you shouldn't have any probs.
