For those who have inquired in the past for our diesalgas figures, here they are finally.
We have had diesal/gas fitted to our 2003 LC, for some time now & are more than extremely happy with it.
When towing our 2.7 ton van, we get 17.2 litres diesal per 100, & 4.8 litres gas per 100.
On the highway & around town driving to speed limits, (not towing), 10.5 litres per 100 diesel & gas is about the same, as when we're towing, doesn't seem to decrease or increase.
When towing up
hill, we do not have to change gears everytime we look at a
hill, & our vehicle does not run hot.

Does the gas system have a regulator? I was thinking the system injected a set percentage of gas , does it inject a constant amount of gas regardless of diesel usage?

How much fuel did you use before you dieselgas(sed) your vehicle?

All sounds good Bill -
mine is in tomorrow, and booked for a dyno on the 18th so all will be revealed! I also have a fairly comprehensive spreadsheet on fuel useage, so I should be able to give some accurate figures on both economy and performance soon.
Now we just need bio up north!
Cheers Andrew

Hi Bill,
Sorry if I'm being a bit thick here, but I'm a bit of trouble following your figures.
It's a bit of a personal thing too for me that I believe in measuring the kms from fill to fill and then how many litres it takes to fill, not relying on warning lights as an indicator of fuel consumption.
So... as I read it your diesel use around town has not changed, but you now have the added cost of filling your gas tanks as
well? I understand you get more power in the process and you may be happy to pay for the extra power you are getting.
Would that be the same for your towing figures? ie same diesel use before and after and now with the added cost of gas on top of your diesel use.
I was led to believe that the overall fuel cost would come down when running on Dieselgas, but if I'm reading your figures right, this doesn't seem to be the case.
Thanks
Tim

Just had the gas fitted to my 1994 1HZ std diesel LC. (319,000kms, no turbo). First fill for 625 klms pulling 1 ton camper trailer, Penrith to
Tamworth via the blue mountains, 69 ltrs diesel and 24 ltrs gas. combined average 14.9 ltrs/100kms. Pre gas figures of around 15 to 16 trs/100 kms, for the same hilly terrane. You get extra power and torque at around the same mileage, but the gas used is where you $ave. After little Johnny's $2000, I figure it will take around 50,000 kms to break even. I hav'nt tried the cruiser without trailer yet. cheers John
