I often tell people how big some of the feral pigs are that we see up North and I know the stories are pretty hard to believe. I don't know what this one weighed but one was shot at Innisfail last year that went 280 kgs.

Rob, you've done it again, no pix here.
I've seen the size of some of your feral cats. Big as small horses !

Rob

I could'nt open the picture either.

A 280kg feral pig wouldn't survive in the bush mate.

A 95kg pig is the biggest I've ever come across (big animal). Somebody is pulling your leg!

However, if what your saying is true I may have to trade in my .243 Sako for something bigger.

Regards

Kim

what do you mean a 280kg pig would survive in the the bush.
get up in the remote cane country and you will get a big shock.
plenty of big pigs in the top end reach over 150 kg dressed.

Handy,

Just talking from my experience mate.

If you say there are pigs up North at 150kg I accept that (have'nt done any shooting in the top end). Have to say though, thats one big pig!

However, in a digital World, I'd have to see a 280kg feral pig (not domestic) to beleive it.

What caliper are you shooting with up there?

Regards

Kim

LOL 666toy, I'll restrict mine to the four legged variety. They get narky when you don't quite hit them right or because they've had a bad hair day :))) Even worse when you have'nt shot them and they're trussed up on the back of a flatbed LOL

Before it burnt down at about 1973 , in the bar of the Oxley pub , there was the skull of a feral pig called the Oxley Terror . According to the plaque , it had killed 2 horses , a dozen dogs , and at least 40 sheep . It weighed in at 460lb . Shot by the publican in 1897 . Oxley is near the junction of the Murray and Darling rivers and the reed beds in the local marshs have always been good pig areas .

Your right , of course . I last passed through in about 1972 . We used to find it flying Griffith to Mildura and it was handy to park a helicopter behind the pub while we pumped fuel out of bladders .
