Think some Aussie roads are in bad condition? (Not sure if the text below is true or not, but the pictures are pretty cool anyway !!)

Wazza.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This Russian Federal Highway runs from Moscow to Yakutsk City in Siberia.

The road doesn’t have an asphalt surface, although it is a vital highway.

Every time it rains the road is paralyzed. These shots were taken a few days before approximately 600 vehicles became stuck there. Hunger followed, and vehicles ran out of fuel. According to the witnesses, one woman gave a birth to a child whilst trapped on a public bus.

Construction teams were afraid to appear on site because, during their previous visit, they were beaten by people who had been stuck in the jam for several days. People were breaking the locks on the trucks in search of food and warm clothing.

Fuel, food, firearms and steel tow-lines are the things that are needed most these days on this Federal Highway. Oh, and patience!!!

The blonde in the powder blue outfit leaning on the truck seems pretty relaxed.

Mate I have seen a few potholes in my time but that last pic is the grandaddy of them all.
One wonders what the huts are for, places to stay whilst the roads are fixed ???

Great pics,

Pooley

Fantastic

Like the 3 rd pic down the 70 MPH ? Speed Sign.

And we thought Corruption was Bad Here.

Anyway at least they have some rain there i wonder if they let it flow out into the Ocean then pump it back and take the salt out of it.
I can not work out how the Early Australians built Dams and stoped the water reaching the Ocean.
How could they have got it so wrong ?

Was talking to a friend who just got back from Russia.

He told me of being pulled up a number of times for 'speeding'.
He knew he wasn't.
The local cops are paid so poorly, they regularly pull up people for speeding, and declare a fine. No ticket issued, no paper work. Only way they can survive and support their families.

The more i look at the Road ? looks like to much surface water and no indication of any Pipes = Drainage ........Russians must think only need them when it rains :)
