We are looking at popping the top of a 78 series troopy - any information on companies in Melbourne doing this conversion would be appreciated

We just bought one from Orix in Albury, NSW. (ex Hertz vehicle) It was done by I think Safari Campers in SA. Also there is a place Frontline Camper Conversions in Ballina, northern NSW that does them. 02-6681 1555.

Sorry but don't know of any in Melbourne but have heard that there is someone in Melbourne who will convert a Hi-top to pop-top. People at Berwick Commercials know who does them.

We are really pleased with our 78 series pop top. Most of the hire companies have hi-tops which are no good off road in trees as they are too high. Also most of the high tops that we looked at did not have a very good fit-out inside. We are really pleased with our one.

Hi Judes.

Back in '96 I drove to Sydney and got my 75 Troopie converted by Trakka and I think it is the best thing that I have ever done. I can not tell you how many people have commented on the conversion.

Some years ago there appeared an article in one of the 4WD mags where they labeled it the 'Bush Hilton'

I can not give you a web site, but from memory they do have one.

When I got mine done they were located at:

Trakka Pty Ltd
3 Short Street Chatswood NSW 2067

Regards

Look them up and see what you think.

Regards
