Hi,
Can those with the iridium sat phones tell me how long their battery lasts on full charge when the phone is turned off. With a full charge and the phone turned off, a week later and the phone will turn on but that's all. Maybe I need to charge and then remove the battery, or it's stuffed.

Check the specification booklet. (or access the manufacturer's Web site)
That should tell you.
By the way, Iridium is the carrier, not the brand of handset. (Motorola, etc.)
IMHO the battery is stuffed if it drains away over a week, with the phone turned off.

Mine seems to last forever, has been off for 6 weeks and turned it on just now,
full charge.
There is or was a recall on the Motorola Iridum 9505A, and it was all to do with the battery.
Mine was new in April 05 and would not charge from day one, was replaced with a new pnone next day.

Thanks Mike, it's what I'd thought should happen. I'll check the recall out.

Hi,
I've a 9500 and it holds charge better than that battery.
I'd suggest the battery is NBG.
