Hey all,
Heard about an apparent good
camp spot Bear Gully near Cape Liptrap in VIC, has anyone been there recently or know what its like?
Cheers,
Steve

I checked it out just after New Years Day this year. Very nice spot.
Camping nestled in amongst the tee-tree, nice grassy sites from memory, but then, there might have been rain back then.
Toilet block, but I think its's BYO
water. I didn't see much of a beach, but plenty of
rock pools and fishing from
the rock platform.
I get the impression you'd have to get in quick to secure a
camp site. Definately worth checking out.
Cheers

Certainly a lovely spot, Steve.
Last to my Knowledge (1 yr ago) place near Melb where you could roll up and
camp for free right on edge of beach(no power, loo's some
water). We took our dog, but someone said that was about to change.
There was an impeccably mowed lawn section with table/chairs and you could sit with a magnificent view of
Wilson's prom.
Reckon it would be full now , wasn't that big maybe room for 20-30.
No 4wding in the area , although you can drive about 1km along beach edge between WalkerVille Nth & Sth when tides low between boat launching ramps.
