Thanks to outstanding performances by two Western Australian cricketing heroes and the excellent WACA pitch the ashes have been won back by Australia beating the Poms again.

Just goes to show that this country can not do without us West Aussies:

1. The Ashes won back due to Hussey and Gilchrist (an adopted West Aussie and we proud of him)

2. The AFL grand final winners 2006 - go the Eagles

3. A booming economy

Why would you want to live anywhere else. :-)0

My observations suggest that some of the biggest heads (well at least one huge one) are in SA - we're safe as long as he keeps to the central areas.

I sent one final shout after him to stick to the track, to which he replied “All right,” That was the last ever seen of Gibson - E Giles 23 April 1874

Words from the Barmy Army song: (tune of yellow submarine)
"You all live in a convict colony, a convict colony, a convict colony"
"Except SA, except SA, except SA"
"There are no criminals in SA, none in SA, none in SA"

Of course without those fine "West Australians" Warne, Clarke and McGrath our bowling attack would be reduced to a mob of Pie Chuckers.

Karl,
I'm a Sandgroper as well but I have to say that I think you've been looking in the mirror too often..
The win yesterday was an Aussie victory and to isolate any one state is just ridiculous. The performance was a team effort and I think that all Australians will be rejoicing in the victory, regardless of where we are from. To win the ashes 3-0 is great and for those folk in Melbourne and Sydney, don't despair as I reckon the lads are pushing for 5-0.
I was at the WACA yesterday to see it with my kids - fantastic. Hussey even had a brief chat with my son during their warm-up, which made his day as my son plays for the same junior side that Hussey played for (Whitfords JCC).
