Hi all,
I have a trailblaza and autofridge in our camper trailer and was lookimg at trying to upgrade the security for these. At the moment they are chained together and to the trailer via their handles. This is the weak point as the handles can be screwed off or drilled off. I was thinking of something that when the plugs disconnected then a alarm would go off but this became unworkable. What are others doing?
For instance a fridge in an annexe or camp area.

The fridges are portable and expensive with a good secondhand market so they are a hit with theives.

Regards

Mark

Don't panic, sounds like you have have enough security, have good insurance and enjoy your fridge.

The best insurance against getting it nicked is to sell it, no worries then....enjoy life

yeah, then buy a new Engel or a Waeco...

(no-one will pinch them, plus they don't work as well as your present fridge either)

Am not yet back to Perth, is about 460Klm south from here, I'm just north of Geraldton, and missed everything, just got a bit more wind.

Geraldton is rated as the 2nd windiest town/city in Australia, at the moment the caravan parks down there have many European wind and kite surfers staying there.

Have to be in Dunsborough 14th.

Nah, is too humid up there in the summer, I was in Darwin and Kakadu most of the winter, when I left up there the caravan parks were already getting close to empty because the Cyclone season was getting closer, however it was about a month late last year (06)
I went back to Broome only to have the vehicle serviced, unfortunately the pr*k stuffed the diesel pump settings and could not fix it, North West Diesel (nil) Service, I recommend them as trainee tire changers only, did I say trainee, maybe that is a bit overrated for them lol.

Our Trailblaza stays in the Patrol..... and is chained and padlocked to the cargo barrier! That is to satisfy the insurer that it is a "fixed appliance". Apart from what you are already doing, I can't see too much more that you can do to make it more "un-stealable"!
