Still under warranty???
It's a safety issue

Take it back to Toyota and ask/demand that the lights be set to comply with Aust specifications. The owners handbook may have the necessary measurements in it somewhere, but workshop manual would have data.

As an aside
There are far too many vehicles driving round with incorrectly set headlights, particularly those who persist in using those so called "fog lamps" and highbeam during the day
Most manage to dazzle oncoming drivers. P#sses me off just a little.
Chief offenders are those funny things called rice burners and late model commodes.

Thats my bitch for the day, will sit back and wait. LOL

Cheers Disco. Because I've completely changed front and rear susupension and fitted poly-airs, it's a bit hard to hit up the toyota guys. I'm suprized I don't get flashed on the highway by oncoming drivers (apart from those wearing overcoats), because I can see the light are fairly high. Adjusting lights used to be easy..one screw for up-down and one for left-right.

I would think the method for adjusting headlights would be similar to that for spotlights.

Drive your vehicle as close as possible to a garage door, or wall. (no more than a few inches)
Turn on your headlights (low beam) and mark the centre of the projected lightbeam with pieces of masking tape.
Reverse the vehicle straight back two or three metres, then adjust each light to realign the centre of the lights an inch or so lower and to the left of the centre marks you taped to the wall.
Check the setting by turning on the high beams, which should project centre to the vertical mark and still slightly left of the horizontal mark.
That will give you as approximate a setting to be close enough so that oncoming drivers will not receive a direct glare from your lights.

Vehicle workshop manuals may give the "exact" measurements to aim the lights below and to the left of centre, but the process is still practically the same.

The only difference with spot lights, is you set them dead centre to the taped marks.
