Al & Mrs Al (Vic)
Hi all, woke up this morning to go for my early morning walk got about a km into it when it started to spit, the sky look really heavy so I thought I mightn't make the next 5km without getting dumped on [wishful thinking..haha] so I turned around, about 30 mins later the heavens opened and the rain came down and it's lovely, the ground is having trouble coping at the moment with the amount of water, but I'm sure the trees are loving it.
here's a couple of snaps of the driveway....and...I would have been absolutely saturated had I kept going...
!MPG:18!
!MPG:19!
I hope other
places are getting some rain as
well..
cheers
Lyn

It seems to go around us where we are or we only get a drop of less than a mm. It's hardly worth the clouds effort!

Hardware store. We have a simple type to measure and empty each day. Have thirty years of records. Like a measuring beaker under a measured funnel. Somewhere for a huntsman
spider to live and birds to bleep in. They aren't expensive.
You may do with a more sophisticated type though. They have computer connected ones in some
places at $500.
Sounds like you need to do an inspection mate.........

76mm to this morning mate. Nice if it's the break but gives us a fire break for a while. We found lots of scorched leaves and bark round the garden from the Fram fire. One spot looked like had scorched the neighbouring plants just a little :-(

It was a message from our relieving guy that said "wind change here am going fishing" that forstalled a sudden fast 4by trip from
Robe. Bruddy fortunate you may say. I was talking to a mate on Occupation Lane as the wind change took the fire out of the forest. He didn't get his mobile back charged again for a day or so as he headed off.
Was nice relief and cool today.

Al
Its Blokes like you that really help me out.
Scone has not had rain for that long that we have forgotten what it looks like.
Everything had turned so brown that my wife and I have taken to buying garden mags to see what our garden use to look like.
We have put our pot plants out for agistment and hope to get them back in a year or two when it rains.
Now you come along, and not only show off your photography skills, but have to do it with photos of all that lovely water.
Jeez, thanks Al. LOL
Regards Boo Boo

Just 10mm here last night Lyn. thought we might have got more but still overcast so may get a bit more.
looked at the
melbourne radar picture and the storm cloud is still showing up. The best thing was that its over your catchment area.
I'd love to see a couple of hundred mm drop over the Murray Darling catchment area and wash away all those cotton farmers dams and let the Darling flow again.
Have you heard from the Sydneyites yet?

Hey Boo Boo don't want to rub it in just pop up over the tops towards
Gloucester, it is pretty green and lush on our side of the mountain, about 50k in straight line.
Was around at Muswellbrook late last year and it was dry round your side then.
