Rick (S.A.)
Hey Willie,
Would you be able to give us a report about what you are seeing, and what you are hearing, about the extent of this current weather pattern?
The BoM site is illuminating, but would love to hear from a person, not a recording station.
Are you still at
Warraweena?
If so, what ran? What is as entertaining as seeing Andrew McD/BigKidz when there a few seasons ago?
Any germinations since the start a few days ago?
Cheers

Not sure if he's still out in the scrub, but there's a rumour that he'd been seen building a large boat :))

G'day Rick.
Majority of weather was more to the east heading to
Hawker. Big mobs of water in the Flinders. Parachila Creek running 1km wide. Brachina
Creek crossing washed out on
Leigh Creek Road.
Hawker under water for a while. Roads may not be open for a number of days. Not moving from
homestead till tomorrow arvo when I have to guide University Scientists up
Shady Camp Creek(Their HiLux is shod with road tyres).
We had 42mm here at
Warraweena Hstead.
Hawker 125mm.
Peterborough had 100mm.
Sliding Rock Creek ran niclely for a while.
It pretty wet out here. Everybody seems happy.
Sun is coming out again
Footy
You are a Funny Fella....lol

Also if heading North from
Port Augusta,
Quorn is as far as you can get. The road North to
Hawker is closed, (with
Road Closed signs at the northern exit from
Quorn near the Barytes Plant), however half of
Quorn were out at the Wilochra
Bridge having a look. The water under the Wilochra
Bridge was almost lapping at the bottom of the
bridge. I've lived in
Quorn a long time and I have never seen the Wilochra run this much water.
Just North of Wilochra there are numerous creeks running bankers, the nororious Boolcunda Creek is very full and very wide. Out o0n the Wilochra Plains at Boolcunda 7" of rain fell this afternoon.
The Wirreanda Creek about halfway between
Quorn and
Hawker has water running 2' over the road
bridge.
There are quite a few vehicles stranded between creeks on the
Quorn Hawker road that will be spending a cold hungry night out there.
Cheers,
Dion.
