Has anyone been down to Innaminka via Walkers Crossing recently. I've heard that access is restricted but the track is still open. Can anyone shed some light on this issue. Also can Innaminka be reached in one day from Birdsville via Camilla Downs if we are required to pass this route. Thanks for any replies.

Don't kmow about Walkers crossing, although I believe it is officially closed until further notice. Birdsville to innamincka via Cordillo Downs is possible in one day, (about 7-8 hours)& is a great trip. The road is a bit rough & quite cut up at a lot of creek crossings, so care is required, but it is a great drive with lots to see. Happy trails, Mike.

corey, i travelled this road two years ago towing 4wd campers and it could have been done in a two wheel drive vechile (in dry conditions)
one thing i did do as everyone should is phone clifton hill station who own this road and ask for permission....
