I have only ever seen the (this thunderstorm is very dangerous message) once before .It was on a direct path to my place and unfortunatly the storm was a supercell and was a miracle it never touched down as it was rotatating as it approached my house . Trees landed on my roof and it must have been blowing between 150 and 200 klms per hour. Now that was scary .

Touch wood that no one gets hurt or any major damage.

I just saw on the news the storm hit some
places pretty hard. The good old SES were out working hard to restore order as usual.
Where would our communities be with out the volunteers.
Cheers Kev

Thanx Troopyman, I wouldn't have known it was coming, if I hadn't logged on. I hope it has blown itself out before it gets this far,
Maryborough. In fact it doesn't look much different to usual fronts on the radar. I better go to batten down the hatches.

I think the Tornado probably faded but we just had 35mm in 35 minutes in Nanango all my rain
water tanks are now full, u beauty, looking good for more in the next couple of days to.
Hopefully this system will keep going east as the head waters of the
Brisbane river is about 30 Ks east of us, so I might take a drive over there tomorrow and see if it is flowing a little. Might be a wet night at LCMP (Landcruiser Mountain
Park) up near Jimna.
Cheers for now Bruce

You certainly need rain in nanango . I think the last flood was around 1999 when my inlaws bought the benarkin
general store .
