Not sure if this is the same place...looks similar. It is overlooking the Hawkesbury.

Yep, just down from Mount Caernarvon.

Want to get back to The Flinders this year, maybe not in summer this time ;-)

Hi,
I think it is on the road from Richmond NSW to Winmalee in the Blue Mountains.
When travelling on Castlereagh Rd in the direction of Penrith there is about 5Km after Richmond a T-intersection. Turn right there and that will take you up into the mountains and then after all the S-bends you get the lookout on your left.
Hope that helps

That sounds like the Vale Lookout over Grose Valley ... I don't think it is likely to be there, and I was hoping it was in the lower reaches of the Hawkesbury - perhaps in Kuringai-Chase, Brisbane Waters or Dharug National Parks.

Andrew,

Can't remember which one it was but it's one of these lat/lons.

33 36.7998 150 37.8750

33 36.8994 150.379512

They are pretty much next to each other anyway.
Hope it helps.

Paul.

Chris,

Mate you have to walk the last fifty metres or so, as you said its been fenced off like most tracks, by the bush police(NSWNP&WS). Why dont ask me, Ive been in the area for over thirty years and there was never a problem in access to the lookout? If the bush police have thier way, George St in the city will be the next access to come under their zealous clutches!

Andrew.

It very much looks like a spot above Glenworth valley,, Mouht White.

Head north up the old pacific hwy towards Gosford, turn left at the NRMA garage at mt white into Morgans Rd, follow that for about 3ks its on your left.

If thats not it, the view up there is spectacular so it won't be a waste of time.

Cheers Axle.

Gut Feel says that you're on the Money Axle.

I'll be up there next week and will report back.

Cheers
Andrew who is amazed at the number of rock lookouts you can drive onto in Sydney surrounds.

Hi Guys,
Yes, Mount White, follow the directions as above.
" Head north up the old pacific hwy towards Gosford, turn left at the NRMA garage at mt white into Morgans Rd, follow that for about 3ks its on your left."

And then take the turn off to the caravan park. Its at the top before you go down the dirt road, about 100mtrs from the sealed road.
cheers
