Hi all , first I was to say thank you , to the member who sent me the base maps for my megellan colour( wont mention names ) but i think your a champ.
I have looked in the arcives , but cant find the link to the web sight , that helps fit all of australia on a 512 sd card.
if anyone can help , it would be great.

Depends what you want to use it for Eric. Can get the states of Oz on a 256 meg if you are careful. The older Magellans use 16 meg lblocks as a mazimum so each state is a series of those.
My PDA is different mate, will have a 4gig CF card in it soon :-) 32gig would be nice but expensive.

Eric,
You have already been directed to the GPSOZ site where the method is described.
The next thing is to ensure you have a Card Reader which allows the card to act as a removable drive.
A multi-slot Card Reader (takes all forms of cards, XD, CF, etc.) connects to the USB port on a computer and makes the whole process easier and much quicker.
These can be bought from Dick Smiths or Jaycar, etc.
Also handy for up/down loading pictures, etc.
