Type into Google Earth - 21 17 47.57S 120 55 49.13E
and tell me what this is!!
This is "Indian Country" out there so what on earth (Google Earth!!) this is, I wouldn't have a clue.
Australia's first serious nuclear reactor?
Australia's satellite launch pad?
A UFO landing site?
A CIA inspired doo-hickey, secret squirrel thingy that spies on all out credit card spending habits?
A mosque?
What?

Within google earth just paste
21 17 47.57S 120 55 49.13E
into the space in the "Fly To " section. If you were cutting and pasting using Bilbos coords (same as above) make sure you didnt use the minus sign in front of the latitude ie - 21 17 47.57S 120 55 49.13E , this may have caused an issue ie it will not work.
Cheers

Result of some clever earthworks resulting in a geometrically designed surface
dam (water catchment). Have a close look, no evidence of any heavy construction equipment, roads are graded dirt, earth embankments either side funnelling water from creek into
dam.

Gingarrigan Creek, the creek it is situated next to does not yield any significant results from Google.

My estimations of its nature were merely facetious,,,,,,,,,
So the real question is what is a dam of such grand design doing out there? It's way out in the backblocks, it's not station country, there's nobody out there - even I, as a "ruffy tuffy gold prospector" would have doubts about being out there!
Mind you that last statement would depend if there was "patch" out there!
So why is it there? That's a lot of trouble to go to,,,,,,,,,,

being round it can capture water and hold from all directions, that is the reason the CIA tried using this type of dam in the nor-west. to supply
Exmouth in the extremes,,,
If I say any more on this web site, I may disapear all together

Bilbo Wrote" It's way out in the backblocks, it's not station country, there's nobody out there"
Hello Bilbo - The dam appears to fall within the bounds of Warrawagine Station. The
homestead is located about 55km N-NW of the dam. There is also considerable number of mineral exploration licences covering the general area, a fair percentage are held by FMG, which may also have some significance?
Cheers

Bob,
You seem to pop up everywhere! We gotta stop meeting like this!
If anyone really knows that area it would be you!
I didn't know the Ripon Road was now bitumen!! There goes the neighbourhood!
It's along time since I've been out there - as you know.
Thanks,
Bilbo
