Well by going through the list of who is currently attending... Trevor is the only Queenslander at this point it seems.. Now that is hardly fair to make him go to this gathering as the only Queenslander, you southerners might chose him as target practise! So we have decided that we will also join you all in July. We figured, why not! nothing stopping us, and wile we are there we can see with our own eyes whether Roachies truck is really is real!
Cheers everyone
Jo

Oh, it's real alright!!!! I've got the receipts to prove it...hahaha
I'm a bit disappointed that the old faithful 4.2TD won't be there with me. It has been the topic of sooooo much discussion over the past few years on here. Now, when I look at it sitting on it's haunches (springs and shocks are back to saggy standard now) and with buggar-all accessories on it, I almost feel like I've done the wrong thing........not by buying the new Chevvy, but by stripping the old girl of her former glory!!! ;-((
Looking forward to being there and glad you are coming along too.
Cheers
Roachie

Roachie, I have just the purpose for the old 4.2. Tow it up to Waraweena, mount it on a concrete slab and display it as a monument to futility. hahahahaha
Jo, don't think of yourselves as going to halve the amount of crap we give Trev. We will double the amount so that you both get an equal share. LOL

Hi Jo,
We were originally going along to keep
young Trev out of trouble but unfortunately have had to cancel as it clashes with juniors overseas trip.
I'm sure you'll have a great time; only wish I WAS going...... :-((

Good on you Jo & Mark.
Same here, would have liked to go, but have to get out end of financial year stuff in that week. We are also hoping to head to NT in late July and August, so we could have made the trip a little longer and gone via southern Flinders and central Oz.
Getting to know the Strez and Innanmincka quite
well too, will be an easy run. Been through SW Qld corner a few times in the last 10 years.
Reckon 3 days to southern flinders. Take it a little easy first day, Cunamulla (1),
Innamincka (2), then into the southern flinders.
Or you could go the other way via NSW and
Renmark?
Jo, if you want some info give me a ring.

young man Trev has planned and if it follows suit with us then we'll travel with Trev..
It will be handy for him to to have a Pajero with him to get him outa strife!!!!!!
(nah just kidding Trev, Surely you shouldn't need to ever be rescued by us a second time!!!!!!!!!)
Take care guys, I gotta shoot off to work so you'll can have your beer to drink at the gathering.
Cheers

Oh!, Roachie's Truck is real enough although I am yet to site the "new" one.

You know I will be happy to fight above my weight class, 47 of them to a couple of us..........No contest I reckon.
As for needing you to help me outa trouble "again" .....I must say I don't remember the first time LOL!!
I'll give you a call when I get back to Brissy, so as to get all those heading south in July together and work out an itinery that suits.
Thanks for your support when we invade the party.

I had not put my name down as yet seemed a long way out to make a commitment. I am yet to speck with Trevor (have your number will call soon) but was also looking at going down heaven forbid only one QLDer rocking up.
I had already planned my itinerary hmmmmm
well my first draft of it so i could at least get some idea of costs.
Am looking forward to it now i best organise some time off work. Raise some funds after air conditioning a couple of rooms for the good lady.

Hi Jo,
It looks like we may be able to get down there as
well. Have to be a bit closer to make a final decision but looking good at the moment. How long would you be going down for? Was thinking of things like going down the
Darling river to get there or something like that.
So Trev, if you have a get together let me know as
well.
Tim.

Thats an interesting way to go had not considered heading that way myself. I was looking at Bris -
Birdsville and down but I guess there are heaps of interesting whys to go. At this stage i am looking at anything up to 28 days and anywhere in between.

Hey Tim!
I was thinking of taking 2 weeks off work, basically take it from the day before we leave town. I haven't got a clue how to get there, that is why the latest version of NavTrev comes in handy!
