We are interested in putting a draw system (fridge slide etc) in a GU patrol and have been told that they can be extremely heavy and put to much weight into the rear of the car. Has anyone had experience with this or can they suggest a system to try?

Hi travelin
Have Black Widow drawer system in my vehicle. Started in a nissan pathfinder, then a jackaroo and now in a prado would not be without it. It was a High model for the pathfinder and that has suited both other vehicles. Just bought the different wing kits to suit prado. Stuff in drawers out of sight. Fridge slide. Black widow help has been great when going to another vehicle, supplied the new fitment measurements asap and foc.
Hope this helps
Regards
Charlie

I also have the full Black Widow draws with fridge slide, half cargo barrier, partition barrier and top shelf and have just recently put in the rear false floor where the 2nd row seats normally go with the 3 Jerry can holder(water only). I have been very impressed with the system......

Check out www.offroadsystems.com.au

I have a set of their drawers in my GU and am very happy with them. I went for the aluminium draws and the all up weight is 45kg compared to about 65kg for the galvanised version. They are well made and a great company to deal with. The gal draw system is about $1,250 and the aluminium is about $1,500.

Black Widow also have the aluminium option.

I researched all the top brands before deciding on Black Widow.
Not unhappy with the choice. They are superb.

I agree - the Black Widow are an excellent. They are at the top end in finish and in pricing. I had a good look at them and almost bought a set. In the end however I thought the offroadsystems set was better value for money.

I've also got the Black Widow system in my Paj. Don't have any issue with the weight of the drawers, just what's in them!!
