Have done beach run from Robe to Beachport before.
Looking at google earth, it appears that there is beach access south of Beachport almost all the way to Nelson- anyone made this run before or know whether it is possible???

I did beachport to Carpenter Rocks twice over the Aust Day holiday. The beaches through Canunda tend to be softer and less well used than Beachport to Robe so it would pay to travel in a group. The inland track is OK. Haven't driven further south other than a short drive near Pt McDonald a few years back.

When we have covered that area we have left the beach at Carpenters Rocks, then done a mixture of gravel and sand tracks to Cape Douglas. There is some access to the beach from here to Nelson but to my knowledge these are only beach access points not areas that you can travel for any distance along.

Mrs S... do these "beach access points" have signage that says something about 'beach access only and no driving length of beach'?

No, nothing. A lot of these are local knowledge places.

We got caught at a beauty one day, by ourselves too.

We entered the beach and drove a short distance and DH decided that it was getting a bit soft so we turned around and got bogged, dug out aired down some more, drove a bit, dug out etc etc. DH wasn't game to stop to let the 3 of us back in the car, so it was jump in the car while it was going or walk back to the track to the beach.

Later found that the locals call it Paradise Point.

Between Pt MacDonnell and Nelson onlyI know of one part of beach that is able to be driven on and that is between Green Point and Picaninnie Ponds but we have never done all of that just a short section. It is only about 20 kms on tar anyway.

Mrs S

I hope that is helpful
